MOFCOM Announces the Final Ruling on the Anti-dumping Investigation against Copolymerized Polyoxymethylene

On October 23, 2017, MOFCOM released Announcement No. 61 of 2017, announcing the final ruling on the anti-dumping investigation against the copolymerized polyoxymethylene originating in the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Malaysia.

 

MOFCOM ruled that there was dumping in the import of copolymerized polyoxymethylene originating in the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Malaysia, and the same domestic industry in China was substantially damaged, and there was causal relationship between the dumping and the substantive damage. MOFCOM decided to launch anti-dumping measures against the imported copolymerized polyoxymethylene originating in the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. According to the ruling, the import operators shall pay anti-dumping duty to the Customs of the People’s Republic of China when importing copolymerized polyoxymethylene originating in the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Malaysia from October 24, 2017, based on the 6.2%-34.9% dumping margins which was decided in the ruling.

 

Required by the domestic copolymerized polyoxymethylene industry, MOFCOM launched an announcement on October 24, 2016, deciding to initiate anti-dumping investigation against the imported copolymerized polyoxymethylene originating in the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. The product is under items 39071010 and 39071090 of the Customs Import and Export Tariff of the People’s Republic of China. Homopolimer polyoxymethylene and modified polyoxymethylene under these items will not be involved in this investigation.
