Price of Farm Product and Price of Production Means Continue to Increase Slightly




According to the monitoring of MOFCOM, the market price index of edible agricultural products went up 1.3% over the previous week and that of the means of production increased 0.2% over the previous week (January 16-22).


In farm produce market: the average price of 30 kinds of vegetables went up 3.4% over the previous week, among which the prices of cucumber, pumpkin and green bean increased 19.5%, 17.1% and 11% respectively. The average price of aquatic product increased 1.1%, with the prices of little yellow fish, chub and little hairtail up 3.6%, 1.9% and 1.8% respectively. The price of meat increased slightly, with the prices of pork, beef and mutton up 0.4%, 1% and 1% respectively. The price of edible oil increased slightly, with the prices of soybean oil and peanut oil both up 0.1%, the price of rapeseed oil the same as the previous week. The price of grain food remained stable, with the prices of rice and flour the same as that of the previous week. The prices of poultry and eggs fluctuated, with the prices of duck and chicken up 0.4% and 0.3% respectively, and the price of egg down 1%.


As to the means of production market: the price of rubber went up 4.5% compared with that of the previous week, with the prices of synthetic rubber and natural rubber up 5.1% and 4.1% respectively. The price of steel went up 0.8%, with the prices of deformed steel bar, high speed wire rod and common round steel up 1.1%, 1.1% and 0.9% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw materials went up 0.7%, with the prices of caustic soda, purified petroleum benzene and sodium carbonate up 6.7%, 1.9% and 1.1% respectively, and the prices of sulfuric acid and methyl alcohol down 3.3% and 0.2% respectively. The prices of chemical fertilizer went up 0.4%, with the prices of urea, DAP, KCL and NPK up 0.6%, 0.3%, 0.1% and 0.1% respectively. The price of coal increased 0.2%, with the prices of blind coal, coking coal and steamed coal up 0.4%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased 0.1%, with the prices of nickel, tin, zinc and lead down 1.8%, 1.3%, 0.3% and 0.1% respectively, that of aluminum up 0.2% and that of copper the same as the previous week.
